1. Honors Scholar Cornerstone (3 credits) HON 101 - Introduction to critical thinking, scholarly inquiry, and diversity of perspective through an interdisciplinary approach; small, discussion-based course capped at 20 students per section. Topics may vary and tend to be focused on contemporary issues/problems. |
1. Honors Leadership Cornerstone (3 credits) HON 102 – Introduction to leadership and democratic citizenship through interdisciplinary approach; guest speakers from UND and community; large lecture course with smaller discussion sections led by undergraduate Honors students and/or local leaders. |

No. You may switch tracks at any time, and count the courses you’ve taken already for your new track.
To graduate with Honors distinction, you must complete the 24 required credits and maintain a 3.2 overall GPA throughout your academic career. In addition, to maintain a tuition waiver, you must maintain this GPA every semester.
No. Since most of the Honors courses will be ES-validated or at the 300-level or above, you will be earning necessary credits for graduation from UND while you complete Honors simultaneously. In addition, the extra support you receive from Honors staff and faculty will help to keep you motivated and on track to achieve your goals.
