Exam Proctoring and Technology
All exams must be proctored unless otherwise stated by your instructor.
Exams are to be taken on the same day the exam is given to on-campus students, unless prior approval is given by the course instructor. Depending on the course, online students may be required to use one of two online test proctoring services: ProctorU Live or Honorlock. In-person proctoring at an approved testing center is only available for PDF-style exams.
ProctorU
ProctorU is an online live person proctoring service that is institutionally paid for. Check your BlackBoard course site to determine the type of exam that will be administered. Within the College of Engineering and Mines (CEM), there are two possible exam styles, each falling under different institutions: “University of North Dakota” and “University of North Dakota-PDF”.
All exams requiring ProctorU proctoring will require a full room scan to ensure the testing space is secure before the exam begins.
ProctorU PDF Style Exams ("University of North Dakota-PDF")
