Call for Posters

The CyberSecurity Awareness and Research Symposium (CARS’22) committee is seeking posters that will be presented at the symposium.

Poster sessions provide an opportunity to showcase your research projects (undergraduate or graduate categories) to a broad audience of industry and academic professionals in the cybersecurity field. Posters can cover deep, exploratory research findings, showcase preliminary research that may not be mature enough for a full paper, or consist of any other research that would benefit and open discussions within the cybersecurity community. Posters are encouraged but not limited to follow the themes presented for the symposium:

  • Threat intelligence
  • Anomaly detection
  • Data breach identification/prevention
  • Ransomware threats and prevention
  • Advanced persistent threats (APTs)
  • Automotive cybersecurity
  • And other Emerging cyber security areas

Poster Presentations

Deadline for submisions is October 24, 2022. Top three posters will be awarded, recognized during award ceremony and will receive exciting prizes!

Presenters will be given a space to display their poster along with easels, and attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the presenters during designated poster session times. Poster presentations are limited to individuals who have registered for the conference. The deadline for submissions is October 24, 2022 and posters should be emailed to und.cars.2022@UND.edu. Posters should include:

  1. Title
  2. Affiliation
  3. Abstract
  4. Methods
  5. Results
  6. Conclusion

Format

  1. A size of 33.1’’ x 46.8’’ (W x H)
  2. Vertically oriented (portrait)

Eligibility

Students should be enrolled in the undergraduate or graduate program in engineering or computer science, or cyber security programs to be eligible to compete in poster competition. Limited to U.S. schools.

Day of 3MT Poster Presentation. Students in both the poster categories will be given three minutes to present their posters. Posters will be assessed by technical rigor, method or processes used; tools deployed, style, format, and insights learned from the project.

  • Poster Submission Deadline: October 24, 2022 
  • Poster Presentation: October 31, 2022, 11:15 a.m to 12:15 p.m. CST (In-Person)
