Partnership Opportunities
Responsive to industry and client needs and to challenges facing our state, nation and world.
The Center for Process Engineering Research recognizes that process engineering solutions must be supported by strong science and account for the social, political, economic, and regulatory issues that drive potential solutions. We aim to develop partnerships with stakeholders in each of these areas.
Industry
Industry provides a commercial outlet for new technologies, identifies technical barriers, and invests in university research, development, and demonstration programs.
Small Business and Startups
Small businesses and startups can benefit from CPER’s capabilities in process engineering, technology demonstration and scale-up, and techno-economic analysis. Together, we can pursue SBIR/STTR funding or other grant programs to enhance our partners’ intellectual property and transition technologies to the commercial market.
Public and Non-Governmental Organizations
CPER’s outreach focus aligns with the needs of public and non-governmental organizations. We can provide education and training opportunities on new technologies, and we seek input on the needs and directions of our partners.
University Community
The University community provides forums and opportunities for faculty and staff to participate in the process of increasing the sustainability of the university. UND must showcase the paradigm shift to sustainable energy and must build strong relationships with universities locally and globally.
Federal, State and Local Governments
Government organizations provide support for CPER’s programs through funded projects that lead to the development of new technologies that benefit the state, nation and world. CPER also actively engages with government officials on the development and implementation of public policy, leveraging the CPER team’s specialized knowledge.
Developing Countries
Developing countries benefit from the aggressive transfer of new technologies developed and de-risked elsewhere in the world. Access to energy and technology resources is a requirement for improving the standard of living. This must be a component of the sustainable energy and process engineering programs at UND.
