Project Lead the Way

Fast track your engineering degree by earning UND credits while in high school.

High school students who excel in Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses can turn their hard work into transcript college credit from the University of North Dakota.

Requirements

Students can receive 3 semester credits per course when they meet the following requirements:

  • The school must be certified by PLTW
  • All requirements for the PLTW courses must be satisfied, students must earn a stanine score of 6 or higher on the end-of-year exam (6 equals a C; 7 equals a B; 8 and 9 equal an A), or new scores as identified after each course below, and have a class average of 85% or higher
  • Student must apply, be admitted and enroll at the University of North Dakota

UND will accept transcripted credit for PLTW courses from other affiliated universities. Up to six (6) such credits may be used as electives towards a degree at UND. Possible substitution of PLTW credits for meeting specific programmatic requirements at the University is at the discretion of the individual programs.
