CEM Senior Design Expo 2025
Virtual Expo Presentations
The CEM Senior Design Expo Competition defines a Prototype Project as a project that has a physical build. This can be in the form of an actual prototype product or as a proof of concept of a certain aspect of a product. Although simulations are typically used in design, physical testing is typically done to ensure the final product’s functionality.

The CEM Senior Design Expo Competition defines a Process/Research Project as a project that is primarily based in at least one of the following: Software Simulation, Research & Development of Theoretical Concepts and/or Materials, or Process Improvement. Although physical test apparatuses can be built and used as part of these projects, they are not the focus of the goals and criteria for success.
