EARL: Environmental Analytical Research Laboratory

EARL houses an ion chromatograph, an atomic absorption spectrometer, a total organic carbon analyzer, sulfur analyzers and ancillary equipment to support teaching, scientific research and engineering design projects.

Our Laboratory

Our laboratory is housed in Leonard Hall – home to the UND School of Geology & Geological Engineering. It is well equipped with brand new major analytical instruments and other ancillary equipment. We pride ourselves on achieving our goals with this laboratory and equipment.

Our Goals

1. Teaching Support

Hosting training course(Geol 540) to provide students an opportunity to learn lab skills and to gain experience using our laboratory equipment.

2. Research Support

To support scientific research and engineering design projects in environmental investigations.

3. Analytical Service

Providing reliable analytical service to our customers with best possible combination of convenience and cost.
