AEMEL

The Applied Electro Magnetics Engineering Lab (AEMEL) at the University of North Dakota conducts research projects related to Antennas and Propagation. Our active research projects cover a variety of fields from microwave imaging to spacesuite antenna design.

  • One Dual Polarized Horn Antenna (700MHz- 10GHz)
  • One Dual Polarized Horn Antenna (2GHz-18GHz)
  • One Wideband Omni-directional Antenna (6GHz)
  • A 2-24 Mechanical Switch (built in-house using Agilent mechanical switches)
  • Two Ettus N200 USRP Software Defined Radio Units and two GPSDO kit
  • One Portable Spectrum Analyzer (MS2726C Spectrum Master, 9 kHz to 43 GHz)
  • One Signal Generator (Anritsu MG3692C covers audio to microwave frequencies from up to 20GHz)
  • One Amplifier (500MHz-6GHz, ETS-118281)
  • One 3D Printer (Makerbot) • LabVolt Antenna Trainer System
  • LabVolt Microwave Trainer System
  • Three GW Instek GSP-730 Spectrum Analyzer 150KHz-3GHz
  • Three GW Instek GRF-1300 RF and Communication System Trainer
  • Three SA0314 RF Instruments USB RF Spectrum Analyzer (3.3GHz)
  • Three Agilent E4421B 250KHz-3GHz Signal Generator
  • Silouhette Cameo for Flexible Substrate and Textile Cutting
