Undergraduate Programs
Bachelor Degrees
- B.S. in Geology – Our B.S. in geology program prepares students for careers as professional geologists.
- B.S. in Earth Science – Our Earth Science degree requires less mathematics than our Geology degree and includes more flexibility to choose supporting courses.
- B.S. in Environmental Geoscience – The B.S. in Environmental Geoscience combines a broad foundation in geology with a thorough background in related sciences and mathematics.
- B.S. in Geological Engineering – The Geological Engineering program requires significantly less geology than our
other programs but, instead, includes fundamental engineering classes and specialized
geological engineering classes. This degree is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation
Commission of ABET
(http://www.abet.org). The next scheduled ABET accreditation visit is in November 2027.
Minor
- Minor in Geology – This 20-21 credit degree program supplements a student’s major program of study. It requires six to seven geology classes to complete.
