Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
The BIG Challenge – February 2017
Our very first BIG Challenge focuses on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Come up with a new and innovative application for UAVs, beyond those already in development (agriculture, inspection of pipelines, power lines, etc.). Don’t be limited to those things possible with today’s technology- think BIG and be creative.
Jan. 27th February challenge issued.
Feb. 3rd Deadline to register teams (limit of 8) in 323 Harrington Hall. Teams will be assigned space in the Big Ideas Gym.
Feb. 17th Deadline to submit a short (3 min.) video presentation of their ideas. These will be used to select four finalists.
Feb. 24th 3:00 PM In the Hamilton Atrium of the Collaborative Energy Complex, each of the four finalists will deliver a 3 minute pitch presentation to judges and fellow students, who will score the team and select the winning idea.
