The School of Geology and Geological Engineering offers several undergraduate degrees in earth and engineering science. In addition to four-year degrees, we also offer a minor geology and a teaching certification in geology.
The Bachelor of Science in Geology and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geoscience is our most popular geology degrees. The Bachelor of Science in Earth Science differs only in the amount of mathematics and calculus that is required. The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geoscience is similar in many ways to the two geology degrees but includes fewer geology classes and more supportive classes from other departments. The Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering degree requires significantly less geology than the other degrees but, instead, includes fundamental engineering classes and specialized geological engineering classes.
Please see the current degree options in the course catalog. Students should obtain advisement from faculty advisors in their home departments.
